In America, when s superficial man says that a overweight woman is not beautiful, what they really mean is that they would not have sex with her. That's it. Plain and simple. The reason why it is amn issue of sex is because in general, in this country, people who are overweight are trated as if they are not worthy of love or to be alive, because of their weight.
The norm has been to kick down at overweight people, but now there is a push for acceptance and inclusion the body shamers cannot handle. And as you said. being healthy is important; and being skinny does not mean that you are the picture of health.

People hold on desperately to the concept of God and religion, because of so much fear of the unknown; the fear of wht will happen after we die. And fear can be apralyzing. People will do anything to make themselves feel better; to make themselves feel safe.
But the truth is, we face to unknown everyday, not just when we die. Not one of us knows what the next day will bring, or the next hour for that matter. But we don't live our entire lives trying to soothe a fear of the ticking clock. Humans would do better to be able to make peace with not knowing, and stilllive a contented, fulfilled life.
