Acceptance doesn't indicate participation. No one has to accept that heterosexual sex happens. It just is what it is, because the general consensus has been that heterosexual sex is normal. An individual can accept something, but not agree with or practice it. I can accept that there are people who do not use a wash cloth when they bathe. Ok. Fine, but I am not going to take up the practice. I can accept that some people like sugar on their grits. The thought does not sound appetizing to me, but if they enjoy it that's cool.

I think the fear lies in the idea that if you accept it, you have to indulge in it and the truth is that you do not.

We are not obligated to like anyone else on this planet, but we must accept that they deserve to be here just as much as we do.

I think that is where the problem truly lies and it is a very human problem. Too many people are running around thinking that their thoughts, ideas, wants and emotions are the center of the universe, and thus, anyone who thinks differently, or disagrees deserve to burn.

Collectively, we have to stop wanting everything that's different deserves to burn. Minding one's own business, if no harm is being done, is a major and important step in the right direction.
