Have the Four Years that You Deserve.
The memes and the blogs and the videos and shorts have been coming out in full force since the day after election day, so now it’s time for me to throw my voice into the ring.
As disheartening as it was, I thought the election would be close.
I truly did.
I thought it would come down to the tribalistic need to hate versus the altruistic desire to look out for the futures of those coming behind us.
Consider it. That last Trump Presidency cost us reproductive control of our bodies, when Roe v. Wade was struck down. It cost us affirmative action in higher education, which was a blockade against that tribalistic hate I mentioned earlier. It cost us over one million lives, because the Covid-19 pandemic was so poorly handled. And let’s not forget that it was so poorly handled, because many of the safeguards put in place during Obama’s administration were undone by Trump. And why were they undone by Trump, because he is a racist narcissist, who rather watch the country burn then to watch the country survive based on something that a Black man put in place.
But I digress…
